Trading Football to Raise Money for an ‘Eye Camp’ in India

Hi, my name is Bhagubhai J Mistry. I was born in a village named Kadoli in Gujarat, India where I lived for the first 27 years of my life.

Over the past 46 years since moving to the UK, I have visited India many times.

I've seen first hand how poor families struggle through life and I felt that I needed to give something back to the place I grew up.

After much thought, I decided that I would like to fund an 'Eye Camp' in Kadoli.

The people in Kadoli work hard, but they're not always able to take care of their health and, in particular, their sight.

I've been involved in similar camps twice before, funded by our community’s help, so I knew how much money would be needed.

During my working life, I had followed a number of betting tipsters. I found that they often made money short-term, but lost money in the long run.

I remember working out I had lost more than £34,000 over 20 years and I was not going to make that same mistake again.

I've been retired for the last 8 years. It's difficult to save lots of money when retired and I'd been trying to trade football for some time, but without success.

Goal Profits

I came across Goal Profits in June 2021 and started learning how to trade properly. I read through the Goal Profits Academy many times, trying to absorb as much as I could.

I decided to spend my first 2 or 3 months learning and understanding everything about trading because I could not afford to lose money.

English is my second language, so I had to ask lots of questions. Whenever I contacted support, I often received an answer the same day and sometimes within an hour!

Paul and Bryn answered my questions, using simple words, so that I fully understood each lesson.

I paper traded for some time and, by October 2021, felt that I was ready to trade with real money. I started with a £1,000 bank.

At this point, I still asked plenty of questions and often sent my results spreadsheet to the Goal Profits team to get their input.

I was mostly trading in the correct way, but I made some mistakes too.

I added notes to my results spreadsheet and analysed my trades regularly, especially when a day did not go to plan.

I treated football trading as my business as I had 100% focus on my dream project.

My £1,000 bank reached £6,044.28 after the first year and £10,000.51 on 18th November 2023.

That was my target reached!

Eye Camp

Thanks to my trading at Goal Profits, I was able to go ahead with Eye Camp!

It was held on 31st December 2023 in Kadoli and was very successful.

I hired the services of Rotary Eye Hospital, Navsari which is about 8km away from Kadoli and ranks 6th among India’s eye hospitals.

After conducting free eye exams, a total of 365 people took advantage of free care.

These included:

• 170 people who were given glasses on the spot
• 74 people who had a cataract removed from one eye
• 31 people who had a cataract removed from both eyes
• 28 people who were referred to hospital for a further check up

In addition, those who needed an operation were given dates.

I could see smiles on the faces of those who were given glasses and could now see better. That made me very happy!

I remained in Kadoli until all patients had been cared for. I provided them free transport from the village to the city hospital and back again.

I also arranged for food and water during the day.

On the last day before I flew back to the UK, most patients were back at work. I managed to speak to some who shed tears of joy!

Seeing the difference that my Eye Camp made leaves me thinking that I had their blessing in advance to trade well and make enough money to support the project.

I am very happy to have fulfilled my dream to do something for people who are less fortunate.

I would like to give credit to Steve for making the Goal Profits Academy so enjoyable. It is a very good starting point for any trader who is learning to trade football.

I can’t imagine myself driving a car without taking lessons and passing a driving test first. Football trading is the same!

If you want success, you have to work hard and make sure of your own success.

As I am retired and getting enough money to live on, I will be enjoying life to the full with my family.

If I do decide to do another project, I know that Goal Profits is there for me.
